Starfinder Society Scenario #5-02: Road to Reconciliation
A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for 3rd- through 6th-level characters.

When relics of dubious provenance are discovered in the Starfinder Society's collection, revealing a famous Starfinder from the Society's early days as a thief and a fraud, a team of Starfinders are dispatched to Verces to return the relics to Qidel, mysterious Aerie of the Sun, and make amends to the strix from whom the relics were stolen. But forgiveness requires more than lost baubles and pretty words. Can the Starfinders take the first steps along the long road to reconciliation? Or will the sins of the past outweigh their efforts?

I just put up a new post on the Atlanta PFS website about an idea I'd like to try out (though likely not until after DragonCon) and would like to get some feedback.  

The concept is this - we schedule a 4-5 hour time slot at one of our venues once a month (possibly more frequently, depending on the demand and whether it takes off) where a GM will have a prepared bounty and will help guide players, both new and established (if they wish) through character creation, followed by testing that character's viability in an hour-long bounty.

What are your thoughts?

I posted this to the AtlantaPFS website and pushed the link to our Twitter feed, the Pathfinder Society of Georgia Facebook page, my personal Facebook account, the Discord server, and am posting it here as well.  However, I am posting the full content here rather than only the link to the post on the AtlantaPFS website.

Southern-Fried Gaming Expo 2022
With Southern-Fried Gaming Expo 2022 just days away, I wanted to remind everyone that COVID is still out there making an impact on people's lives and urge anyone attending, whether as a volunteer or a player, to take appropriate precautions.  
The community transmission rate in Cobb County, GA, where the convention will be held, is currently listed as High.  The CDC recommends indoor masking in areas of high community transmission.  As of my last discussion with Campaign RPG Leadership, they are not staffed to enforce a masking or vaccine policy, so the convention, unless the host venue states otherwise, will continue to be a masking optional/recommended/appreciated event.  
The room where we will be offering sessions will be shared with at least one to two other gaming groups, so I am going to urge any GAPFS members attending to please wear a mask.  I added both KN95 masks and Purell hand sanitizer to our event support kit and will be providing these to the volunteer GMs as well as to HQ.  Priority for these supplies will go to the volunteers, however, should a player come to a table without a mask and the table GM wishes to have their players masked, they will have masks to distribute as needed.  
At the end of the day, I want us all to be safe and have fun.

During times of public health crises (or even for con crud/flu season), conventions should keep the safety of their communities in mind. All convention planners must follow federal, state, and local health policies. In the case of policy changes, local government press releases and websites (such as those designating “opening tiers”), including the convention’s website, should include the most recent updates to their health and safety policy. All VOs and volunteers are required to adhere to the policies set forth by the convention, however, as stated below, if you feel these policies are not appropriate to keep you and your players healthy and safe, it is completely within your power to decline to participate.
Remember, if you do not feel the convention is taking appropriate measures to safeguard your health and safety, it is always within your power to decline participation in the convention. This right to decline to participate extends to all volunteers at a convention, not just VOs. VOs should make sure their volunteers are aware of this as part of the recruiting process.

After a group of prospectors discovered an ancient, abandoned dwarven ruin within the mountain known as Droskar's Crag, they reported their finding to the Pathfinder Society. The Society sent a group to enter the peak and explore the sprawling complex within. In the process, they made some new allies, recovered some lost relics, and discovered multiple entrances leading deeper into the ruined site. What else lies within the depths of Droskar's Crag? Venture-Captain Luna Aldred has sent out a call for Pathfinders to delve the ruins once more in search of treasure and knowledge that might otherwise be lost to the ages, but there is no telling what dangers might lie in wait...

Description: In the aftermath of the Data Scourge, the Starfinder Society fractures along faction lines! Faced with the past mistakes of the Society, the betrayal and heinous crimes of former Starfinders (including the now notorious Historia-Prime), the grievances of active agents, and the weakening of external alliances, First Seeker Ehu Hadif embarks on a year of change, opening the floor to all agents, and giving them a platform through which to voice concerns, plans, ambitions, and lobby for change. Amid this turmoil, Ehu Hadif tasks a team of Starfinders with assisting three minor factions he believes are integral to the future of the Starfinder Society: the longstanding Manifold Host and the newly formed Advocates and Cognates factions, led by well-respected Starfinders Zigvigix and Royo. Take the first steps toward a brighter future in the Year of Redemption's Rise!

This is the first scenario in the ongoing story of the Year of Redemption's Rise. While it is recommended you begin with Intro: Year of Redemption's Rise, the remaining scenarios in the Year of Redemption's Rise can be played in any order.
