There is a free document, about 18 pages long, on Paizo now that will help players to learn the basics so that they can learn the basics of the game to start, and even see some of the monsters that will be in the game.
it should be enough to start playing the basics.

We'll be using pregens and Andrew covers many of the changes from Pathfinder here.
So it will be helpful but not mandatory.

I am going to leave it up to GMs for SF as far as doing 7 person tables, since the system is new and the releases are 2 days from scenarios.
So for now I will add you both to the wait list for SF, and to actually play in the second slot when I get home/
