Starting point buy from the book and presumably the one that will be used in SFS.
All stats at 10
Apply Racial bonuses (These seem to average out to +3 overall.)
Apply Theme bonus (+1 to a related stat or to a stat of your choice if themeless.)
Spend 10 points
No stat above 18
Reducing stats below 10 is allowed but grants no extra points
Every 5 levels you add to 4 stats. If the stat is below 16 you add 2 points. If it is 16+ you add one point.
And you can have a total of 3 different stat boosting items (slotless?) One at +2, one at +4, and one at +6. You can do it in steps. So you can improve a +2 to +4 then +6.
So a caster could start with an 18, Add +1 at 5th and 10th level, and eventually a +6 stat boost item for a total of 26.
The new Spell Focus feat is supposed to add to all save DCs and scales somehow to a max of +3.
Not confirmed but it sounds like companion action economy has changed a bit. You will have to choose between taking a full action and the companion getting a single action or vice versa. Though it sounds like that action can be a move so you could for example do a standard and have your robot move and attack, Or you could move and attack then have your robot attack or move.
