unique familiars from a chronicle can also freely swap one of their feats for extra item slot and are also eligible for retaining (this is a change from the past that my Riddywipple will greatly appreciate!);

Familiars who retrain a feat can retrain to anything they qualify for (I believe the list used to be limited to a few feats in Animal Archive and Familiar Folio);
