I wholeheartedly agree, in spite of initial skepticism.
I had a background project for a while where I had a master spreadsheet with multiple players' histories on it, but this has convinced me that I should just abandon that effort.
My only caution is that if our recent experience with our forums has taught us anything, it's that you should probably still keep a paper (or other) reference record somewhere else so that if disaster strikes you're never stuck trying to reproduce a play/GM history from your Chronicles.
My personal routine is 1. file chronicle with character, 2. log play/gm credit on paper checklist, 3. update electronic log at pfstracker.net.
