Character for sale on facebook - Rlockwood - 05-10-2018

Check out the Facebook page rpg auctions. Some guy is selling his lvl 9 barb character sheet and boons. He is also saying you can play it at conventions cause nobody will check on the sheets

Consider it reported. I'm not a member of a group but some VOs are.

Is he right btw? Do people at conventions usually not check for that stuff?

Auditing is always hit or miss, it's generally up to the specific GM.

Conventions are a weird mix - you have both more GMs (which means you're more likely to find one that will audit) and more rushed (which means you're less likely to have time for audits).

Also, local game days (at least around here) are less likely to audit characters that they are familiar with.

If you were to just show up suddenly with a brand new 9th level character
here in GA and you're not a prolific GM. That would raise some questions.

Cheaters gonna cheat. There's lots of "explainable" ways of getting a character up there no one locally has seen but a brand new player it might raise some flags.

There are better ways to check than looking at chronicles. If a new player to PFS comes in with a level 9 character, doesn't seem to know how it works, and doesn't seem to really know how PFS works, it's a pretty big red flag.

Have also looked at someone's chronicles when something gold-wise seemed "off" for their level. Veteran GMs can tell in other ways.
