  Slashing Grace and Spell Combat
Posted by: Karrothesus - 10-19-2018, 10:53 AM - Forum: General Pathfinder 1.0 Discussion - Replies (2)

I was brewing a kensai, bladebound magus with dueling swords, Weapon Finesse and Slashing Grace and was curious as to how Slashing Grace worked with the Spell Combat as far as adding DEX damage.
From my understanding, as long as you are not casting a spell that round, you get the DEX bonus to your attacks. However, the moment you decide to cast a spell your hand is "occupied" therefore you lose the DEX bonus. But, what you can do is cast the spell and hold the charge, then deliver it while attacking and still get the DEX bonus. Is this correct?

  Bonekeep group
Posted by: Abraham Z - 10-19-2018, 12:39 AM - Forum: General Pathfinder 1.0 Discussion - Replies (8)

I haven't played any of the Bonekeeps and I have a character who I'd like to try to get through all three parts with the same character (I realize that's probably asking for trouble but anyway, heroes should have heroic ambitions, right?!?). Parts 1 & 2 are tier 3-7 (and I'd like to play it at high tier); Part 3 is tier 5-9. I'd like to find a group that is interested in trying to do all three parts together. If you are interested and you've got a character in the right range, please post here.

My character: Dawa Kookpa, Aasimar Dual-Cursed Lunar Oracle 6 / Bard 1
* He creates moonlight bridges for his party members to scurry charge across. He uses the misfortune revelation to force rerolls from enemies (and friends, when needed). He casts spells such as Sand Whirlwind, Burst of Radiance, Murderous Command, Liberating Command, and Ill Omen.
* He is doubly cursed, so he's slow retrieving things (haunted curse) and in combat he only speaks Celestial (tongues curse), so it would be great to have at least one ally along who also speaks Celestial.
* By the power of Shelyn (and the Divine Expression feat), he Inspires Courage as a move action. By the power of the Flagbearer feat his inspire courage provides a +2 competence bonus to attack & damage, and once he can get the banner of ancient kings it will provide a +2 morale bonus to attack & damage.
* He is accompanied by K'nai IV, a Celestial Servant Tiger (Totem Guide archetype) with pounce.

He's currently 2 XP away from level 8, so I haven't been playing him in order to keep him in tier for the first two Bonekeeps.

Anyone interested in joining a journey to almost certain death? :-)

Bonekeep Group:
1. Abraham - Dawa Kookpa (Lunar Oracle 6/Bard 1)
2. Kerney - TBD [uncertain if he's still interested]
3. Edward - Hunter pregen 7

Event Code: 362082

12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
9-17 — Oath of the Overwatched (5-9)    GM - Perry

Deep beneath the Blakros Museum lies a copper gate that no key could open—at least, not from the outside. To the horror of museum curator Nigel Aldain, the gate has begun to writhe and buckle. Whatever lurks beyond it will not remain contained for much longer. Aldain sent an urgent request for aid to Zarta Dralneen, leader of the Dark Archive faction. Dralneen quickly realized that protection would require a divided approach, with some remaining behind to guard Absalom from what pours out and others charging in to deal with the source. With the support of Aldain, Dralneen, and Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin on guard behind them, the PCs rush beyond the twisted portal. Within, they uncover the true reason why the ancient mage Ralzeros made the place beyond the gate so hard to reach.

Contents in Oath of the Overwatched also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Dark Archive faction.

9-15 - The Bloodcove Blockade (3-7)    GM - Travis

The Aspis Consortium has poached relics from the Mwangi Expanse for decades, but the organization has recently identified a wealth of rare minerals deep in the Kaava Lands. The biggest catch is that the Society is familiar with this area, and a massive mining operation like the one the Consortium's planning wouldn't just disrupt local cultures; it risks unleashing a powerful fiend the Pathfinder Society narrowly kept sealed away.

Such a large operation is beyond the capacity of a few agents to stop. Instead, the Exchange is armed and ready to strangle Bloodcove's imports to shut down the Consortium's plan before it can inflict too much damage. For this maneuver to work, though, the Exchange needs allies and intelligence within Bloodcove, made all the more essential now that the Society's sole agent in Bloodcove has disappeared.

Contents in "The Bloodcove Blockade” also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Exchange faction.

GAMEDAY LINK

I currently need 1 GM in the morning for Starfinder, and 2 in the evening for Starfinder. I can't split myself to cover all of this, so I'll need at least 1 GM to back-up in the evening. Thanks for the help, guys!
