I have a few "different" ideas that I've floated around for divine casters before. Maybe you can just use some of the ideas (some of them may even be combined). None of them are really super amazing but may offer unique ideas.

  1. Have the Protection domain (so could be a variety of characters that could do this, not just cleric), which gives you a resistance bonus to saves as you level. Because of this, you don't need a Cloak of Resistance! Find some other cloak that could be cool.
  2. Create a divination specialist. Divination gets pretty powerful at high levels because knowing what's coming is great. I'd argue it's even better for divine casters who focus on buffing because they can throw up the appropriate protections before the battle beings. Cool way of doing this? Occult mystery oracle.
  3. Create a cleric/rogue type of character. No, I don't mean multiclassing, but there's a cool mystery of Oracle called Streets that can sneak attack a few times per day. Grab Abundant Revelation for another use of that ability, and go the Seeker archetype to be able to disable magical traps too!
  4. I rarely see a shaman played. Perhaps make a shaman? They make extremely fun characters.
  5. Make a blaster! Druid could work for this, or Theologian Cleric with the appropriate domain, Shaman with Flame Spirit, or even Flame Oracle.
  6. Make a skill monkey! The Cardinal archetype of cleric is great for this.
  7. Summoning is also an option. Divine spell casters get the same progression as arcane for this after all.

Well, I am really a rookie and don't quite know how one defines KickAss, but the last divine caster I made, not PFS character, was a Cleric of Sarenrae with Fire and Healing domains. Got him up to level 16 and he was very useful to the party. Most things burn and the fun parties need healing quite often.
