5-24 is a 2-part adventure rolled into one.  In part 1 you will be utilizing a modified version of the Pathfinder Mass Combat rules.  The only aspect of your PC that will come into play is your Charisma Modifier, everything else will be based on your Army's stats.  In the second part, the PC's will act as a tactical strike force - essentially a combat focused dungeon crawl which will probably get shortened to just the few key battles due to time.  

VERY high level summary of the hex based Mass Combat rules - we will go over these in depth in person:

• You control an army that has it's own special stats - you will get to pick them that night (some special ones are available based on Season 5 boons) and will get an opportunity to change it (once, if i recall correctly)
  
• Each mass combat turn is broken up into phases: Movement Phase (all armies will move in this phase before proceeding onto the next phase; multiple armies can end up in the same hex);  Combat Phase (if opposing armies end in the same hex there will be a conflict.  Each conflict will be fully resolved [1 side is defeated or withdraws] before moving onto the next conflict on the map - combat is broken down to 1 tactics phase, 1 ranged phase, and multiple melee phases which are repeated until the conflict is resolved)
