Starfinder One-Shot #4: Before the Storm

During a routine shuttle trip through the Drift, a group of heroes come across another vessel attempting to outrun a mysterious shockwave. Following a devastating impact, both ships are cast adrift but the heroes can't signal for help! With no other option but to board the other drifting vessel to send a distress signal, the heroes quickly find themselves contending with all manner of strange creatures and events. Yet, the deeper the heroes journey, the more they learn about the very beginnings of an event that will change the Starfinder setting!

This short Starfinder adventure written by Jason Tondro is intended to be completed in a single session and is intended for a group of four 1st-level characters. For ease of play, it includes four optional 1st-level pregenerated characters that can be used. This adventure can be used as a prequel to the Starfinder Drift Crashers Adventure Path, leading directly into the events of the first adventure of that series. Alternatively, this adventure can also be used as a starting point for any Starfinder Drift Crisis campaign!

When an archaeological expedition co-managed by the Starfinder Society and Cahadusar University is imperiled by the Firewings gang, the Society wastes no time dispatching a pair of formidable Starfinders to save the day. When an internal inquiry reveals these Starfinders are cunning criminals, a fresh team of agents is sent to the Marixah Republic to bring these malfeasants to justice, put an end to their schemes, and salvage the archaeological expedition!

This is the third scenario in the ongoing story of the Year of Redemption's Rise. While it is recommended you begin with Intro: Year of Redemption's Rise, the remaining scenarios in the Year of Redemption's Rise can be played in any order.

I am considering running Starfinder APs at Titan beginning in January, possibly starting with the Drift Crashers AP and then moving onto the Drift Hackers AP.  Any thoughts?

We are joining with the Northern Virginia PFS Lodge and have enlisted Titan Games & Comics in Smyrna to participate in the annual Toys for Tots drive.  As part of this drive, the PFS2 Season 3 multi-table interactive special, 3-98: Expedition into Pallid Peak, will be run at all participating venues and coordinated over Discord.  At the end of the event, the Northern Virginia lodge is also requesting the following information as part of the reporting:

Marietta the Gathering is a new festival hoping to be held each March in Glover Park at the Historic Marietta Square celebrating Geek Community, pop culture, and the arts. The festival will include the Guild Show, a collection of art makers, merchandisers, crafters, and smiths; Tourney Alley, a street full of board games, card tournaments, and possibly video game arcade; as well as several other panels, performances, and contests in and around Glover Park.

AtlantaPFS was invited to participate in the inaugural Marietta the Gathering Event on March 4 at Marietta Square and has accepted.  Pathfinder 2nd Edition and Starfinder will both be offered, with Bounties, Quests, Build & Play sessions, and Beginner Box sessions of both game systems.  

We are looking forward to participating in this event and doing anything we can to help make it successful for both the City of Marietta and for AtlantaPFS.  To volunteer to represent AtlantaPFS by running sessions or Headquarters at Marietta the Gathering, please fill out the Volunteer Form, which is also accessible via our website under the Join Us dropdown menu.  GM and HQ sign-ups are open effective today (November 22) and will close on January 15.  Player registration will open on February 4.
